Job Requirements / Description

To integrate, or improve manufacturing systems or related processes relative to Injection Mold Processing/Production/Validation. Provide project, status feedback to management team. Emphasis on Continuous Improvement driving positive change throughout the manufacturing processes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Perform Manufacturing Engineering projects as assignedExecute Lean/6-Sigma disciplines focusing on Continuous ImprovementImplementing creative ideas in the process of manufacturing and understanding the technicalities related with the productsHands-on approach on improving the manufacturing process by implementing engineering concepts and optimizing the production of the productsSupport Validation Team in transitioning new programs to production including manufacturing line, secondary operations and production planningConfiguring the products and providing manufacturing specifications to the teams involved in documentation to help prepare guides and instructionsReviewing the cost of the products by analyzing the cost of raw material and overall production costWorking with the manufacturing department and help them understand the technical concepts that should be looked after during the manufacturing process of the productsWorking closely with the quality assurance team to make sure that the product is meeting the quality constraints as wellIdentify and/or Lead Continuous Improvement/Lean Projects either individually or with teamGather information for capital equipment needs, create and budget for Return on Investment and/or positive efficiency returnParticipate in NCR/Continuous Improvement meetings as requiredVisit Customers to support manufacturing engineering efforts as requiredSupport sales initiatives and programs as requiredInteract positively with all Apex personnelEnsure that all safety procedures are followedEnsure that all equipment safeties are not altered or defeatedOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent, or 5-7 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experiencePrior experience in Lean Manufacturing DisciplinesPrior experience in Injection Mold Processing preferredAbility to read, analyze, and interpret Technical Drawings and technical information documentsCreate technical documents for use in the Injection Molding, other departments, and APEX CustomersAbility to write and professionally present technical information to small groupsShould be creative and should posses ability to use modern technology in the manufacturing processFamiliar with the manufacturing process and concepts that are followed traditionallyPossess strong computer, mathematical, reading, writing skillsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical information, electronic data, drawings and data in an efficient manner.Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.Must be able to climb up and down stairs.Support cross functional teams and departments as required.Perform job duties in accordance to ISO 13485/9001 including ISO audits.Travel is required to support company initiatives.
