Description
We are seeking a Security Engineer to support a customer-focused program dedicated to system integration, operations, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively. Working in collaboration with internal teams, the Security Engineer will ensure the functionality, security, and scalability of systems and networks. This role also involves designing and developing cyber security technology and integrating new architectural features while maintaining the integrity and security of cyber systems and networks. The Security Engineer should have expertise in security Assessment and Authorization (A&A), including knowledge of ICD 503, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Xacta, and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead multi-disciplined teams in designing and implementing cyber security system architecture
- Produce cyber security architectural artifacts and provide architectural analysis of cyber security features
- Support the Engineering Review Board by evaluating artifacts for architectural compliance
- Adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
- BS degree and 5+ years of relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior experience
- COMPTIA Security+ or comparable IAT/IAM II/III certification
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud-based architectures
- DoD.8570/8140 IAM III Certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.)
- Security Assessment and Authorization (A&A) expertise
- Experience with NGA's Risk Management Framework (RMF)
