Senior Software Engineer I

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Interface competently with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements. Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs. Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews. Keep abreast of new technology developments. Provide direct input to project plans. Understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs. Develop highly resilient and scalable applications. Mentor more-junior members of the team. Validate innovative solutions with our customers and continuously delight them. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field required.
• 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.

• In lieu of a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and 2 years of experience in job offered or related occupations, employer will accept a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupations.
• Also required is:
  • 2 years of experience: developing applications to help process customer requests using JAVA/J2EE; using Object Oriented concepts to design services and interfaces; and using Oracle, MS SQL Server to write complex queries using different joints, sub queries, and nested queries and fine-tune long-running queries for efficient data retrieval.
  • 1 year of experience: working as a Security Champion to configure different kinds of vulnerability scanning on Java based applications and the know-how of analyzing and fixing reported vulnerabilities.
  • 6 months of experience: developing microservices and java modules, implementing business rules and workflows using Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Employee reports to LexisNexis Risk Solutions FL Inc. office in Alpharetta, GA, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.
• Experience can be concurrent.
