About The Team
Our Product Design team is organized into a series of product pillars, where multiple teams contribute to the goals of a larger mission. This role sits within the Data Infrastructure pillar, which focuses on the Developer experience and tooling offered to 3rd party developers and partners. The designers in this pillar create and maintain the experience that 3rd party developers and partners use to create additional applications on top of the Klaviyo infrastructure - including API logs, generating sample data, creating net new applications, and more.
About The Role
As a Senior Product Designer on the Developer Experience and Tooling team at Klaviyo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the experience for developers using our platform. You'll be responsible for crafting intuitive, efficient, and visually appealing tools that empower developers to build and optimize their marketing strategies seamlessly.
How You’ll Have An Impact
- Take ownership and advocate for a good user experience across our developer experience and tooling.
- Explore broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into useful and valuable outputs for our rapidly growing customer base.
- Partner with our product and research teams to understand our user needs and gather feedback to inform design decisions, ensuring the developer experience aligns with industry best practices.
- Work closely with other stakeholders including design, content, product, and engineering teams to give and solicit feedback throughout the design process and ensure the feasibility and successful implementation of designs.
- Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in developer experience design to continually enhance Klaviyo's offerings.
What You’ll Need
- Proven self-motivated, detail-oriented craftsperson, able to work efficiently and effectively with other designers, developers, product managers and marketers to advocate for design direction.
- A deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative UX process, including wire-framing, prototyping, user research, and design systems; you can concept, prototype, design, and present solutions that solve user and business problems, delivering measurable customer outcomes.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects and your ability to solve complex problems.
- Proficiency in design tools (We use Figma).
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and contributing to the success of internal and external developers building on top of Klaviyo.
Nice To Have
- Experience designing tooling for developers is a nice plus.
- Familiarity with the intricacies of the development process is a nice plus.
- Ability to adapt to new information and an openness to change conclusions when necessary; if one approach doesn’t work, you’re ready to try something else.
- Ability to mentor junior designers and to give creative direction to bring out their best work.
The pay range for this role is listed below. Sales roles are also eligible for variable compensation and hourly non-exempt roles are eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable law. Base Pay Range For US Locations:
$144,000—$216,000 USD
