hackajob has partnered with a prominent American defense and cybersecurity contractor looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in LAN/WAN integration, firewall management, routing, switching, VPN, DNS, and public cloud services.
The role: Network Engineer
Location : Hybrid in Washington, DC
Offer: up to $180k yr. (depending on experience) + benefits package
Qualifications:
- Active Security Clearance is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, firewall management, routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and VPN configurations.
- Familiarity with DNS management and troubleshooting.
- Experience with public cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Expertise in network traffic analysis, issue resolution, and optimization
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attntion to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
