Cloud Engineer

Business Technology Integrators (BTI) in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. we are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with over 5 years of experience to design, plan, and integrate cloud computing and virtualization systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in cloud service provider architecture, virtualization technologies, and automation techniques to ensure efficient and scalable solutions that meet business needs, both current and future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and integrate cloud computing and virtualization systems .
• Provide detailed recommendations for hardware and software selection , cloud service provider choice, and implementation techniques.
• Lead application and data migration to cloud environments, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
• Maintain and apply knowledge of industry standards in cloud computing technologies, including public , private , community , and hybrid cloud models.
• Ensure seamless integration of IaaS , PaaS , and SaaS delivery models in the organization’s cloud infrastructure.
• Manage and implement solutions using virtualization technologies such as hypervisors , containers , virtual compute , storage , and networks .
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and make recommendations to improve organizational cloud capabilities.
• Oversee automation processes, self-provisioning, and scaling for optimized cloud and virtualized services.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Architect .
• Expertise in designing and implementing cloud solutions across different deployment models (public, private, hybrid).
• Proficiency in IaaS , PaaS , and SaaS cloud models, as well as virtualization technologies like containers and hypervisors .
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture , automation , virtual infrastructure management , and scaling solutions.
• Experience with cloud service providers and implementing cloud solutions based on business capacity needs.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect , Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert , or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect ).
