Project types range from Arc Flash, Utility and Industrial Facilities Power Systems, Power Distribution, Lighting Layouts, Communications, Generation, Sub-Transmission, and Substation design. We also help clients with Preliminary Engineering Reports and Long-Range/Capital Improvement Plans.Responsibilities and DutiesThe Electrical Engineer will support and serve industrial and municipal clients as well as internal JEO department needs. Responsibilities include:Develop electrical design plans and contract documentsProvide on-site inspection servicesEnsure completeness of the design related forms and reportsDevelop and review cost estimates and calculation of construction quantitiesAbility to select and specify various electrical system components including motor control centers, switchgear, transformers, etc.Qualifications and SkillsRequired:4+ years' experience working in the electrical engineering industryBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equalExperience with low or medium voltage projectsProfessional Engineer (PE) LicensePreferred:6+ years' experience working in the electrical engineering industryElectrical distribution system modeling software experiencePLS CADD experienceDesire to engage in client development and marketing activitiesWith offices throughout IA, KS, NE, OH and WY, JEO is proud to offer a robust benefits package designed to support and protect our employees and their loved ones.
