Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. The ideal candidate will also have practical experience working in an AWS cloud environment, ensuring that our on-premise and cloud-based networks are secure, scalable, and highly available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and security issues to ensure seamless connectivity and uptime.
- Manage and optimize both on-premise and cloud-based networks, with a focus on AWS infrastructure.
- Configure and manage VLANs, load balancers, and other network services.
- Collaborate with cloud engineers and DevOps teams to integrate network infrastructure with AWS environments.
- Ensure network security by implementing and maintaining firewalls, security groups, and other security measures.
- Conduct regular network assessments and audits to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Implement network changes and updates following ITIL or other change management processes.
- Provide network-related support to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and processes.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the network infrastructure is state-of-the-art.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in network engineering, with specific experience in:
- Configuring and troubleshooting switches (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HP).
- Working with routers in enterprise environments.
- Configuring and maintaining firewalls.
- Managing wireless access points and controllers.
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking services
- Experience with VPN technologies (site-to-site and client-based).
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of security best practices and the ability to implement them in network design.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- On-call responsibilities and after hours as necessary
- Familiarity with WAN and LAN configuration and troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Advanced Networking).
- Experience with automation and scripting for network management
