Purpose of the job

To serve our customers with industry leading quality and delivery performance by developing and implementing welding processes, ensuring the highest quality standards (ASME, AWS, & ISO), and improving manufacturing efficiency in our sheet metal departments.


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize welding and brazing processes for the production of refrigerated and heated display cases
  • Develop and optimize fiber laser sheet metal cutting processes
  • Conduct welding tests, inspections and operator certifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to improve product designs and manufacturing methods
  • Troubleshoot welding-related issues and implement corrective actions (i.e. tools, welding fixtures, and training)
  • Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices and safety procedures
  • Maintain and update welding documentation, including process standards, instructions, and quality records
  • Stay current with advancements in welding technology and industry trends

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in welding engineering, process engineering, or a similar role
  • Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and spot welding
  • Strong knowledge of welding standards, codes, and safety regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
