Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Civil/Structural Engineer with at least 3 years of experience. The Engineer II will be responsible for performing calculations, structural analysis, and structural engineering tasks for various projects. This role is located in New York, NY, and requires full-time work, Monday through Friday with 3 days working in the Ancora Office.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will…
- Work as overall structural lead on assigned projects reporting up to supervising engineers.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed drawings, designs and plans.
- Review of designs, drawings and calculations.
- Perform field investigations and site visits to oversee projects.
- Prepare reports and other technical documentation.
- Lead or participate in project meetings and conference calls.
- Manage project documentation and status.
- Attend training programs and acquire certifications.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of calculations, structural analysis, and structural engineering principles
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- FE/EIT certification
- Ability to work with structural analysis software preferred, e.g., RISA, ETABS, STAAD PRO, SAP.
- Familiarity with NYC building code
- Familiarity with construction drawing standards; and experience preparing design drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail, organized and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience in construction industry is mandatory; relevant certifications (ICC) or licenses are a plus.
