Infotainment Test Engineer

Job Duties

1. Perform test specification development, test environment setup, and test execution of an Infotainment System
2. Review test plans, schedules, release plans, test cases
3. Conduct defect reporting, test reporting, and status communication.
4. Interact with function owners, domain experts, test architects, and development teams.
5. Support triage, defect prioritization, retesting and defect closure
6. Support product owners with joint test events (customer and suppliers)
7. Usage of automotive tools for CAN/FlexRay/Ethernet communication.
8. Attend program test events (functional testing)

Required Skills/Experience

1. 3+ years of experience in automotive, specifically Infotainment.
2. Experience with features like navigation, voice user interface, HMI, and connectivity.
3. Experience analyzing use cases and requirements
4. Strong experience in writing test specifications from a user perspective
5. Experience setting up test environments.
6. Experience creating/executing test cases and creating defect tickets
7. Experience Building metrics and graphs for defect management
8. Experience Triaging defects created on the OEM side, assign to suppliers and track the progress
9. Familiar with JIRA and JIRA tools like Zephyr
10. Good communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills

1. Experience installing maps, using the GNSS simulator, and writing corner cases of Navigation testing.
2. Good understanding of protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, A2B, USB
3. Experience using Automotive tools like Vector CANoe, CANalyzer and CANape
4. Experience using Automotive Hardware like Vector VN box and peak CAN hardware
