Manufacturing Engineer - Composite Structures
Mojave, CA through the end of the year, transistion to Mesa, AZ in quarter one of 2025.
Hybrid 4 days a week onsite, one day remote
Pay Rate: Up To $75/HR

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in composite aircraft production.
The primary task will be to help establish the manufacturing process flow and documentation for the fabrication and assembly of composites structure in an effort to set up production operations for the Production Team. The manufacturing engineer in this position will help define what production equipment, tools, systems, and materials will be required in order to create an efficient, organized, and lean factory. After production operations begin, the engineer will assist overseeing much of the composite fabrication and assembly and work on process improvement and production optimization using lean processes and tools.
Required Skills and Experiences
- Aerospace Composite Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with over 4 years’ experience
- Experience on the shop floor with technicians/operators in a hands-on environment.
- Experience to process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation
- Computer-Aided Design experience (Solid Works 2+ years) | CATIA V5 preferred
- Ability to read, interpret and create engineering drawings
- Familiarity with the use and implementation of design for manufacturing/assembly, design to cost, effective product lifecycle management, and product configuration management and control
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing philosophies and tools
- Experience with shop floor layout planning and improvement
- Experience with deployment of manufacturing execution systems “MES”
- Experience with composite fabrication and assembly processes
- Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player.
- Excellent computer skills, word, excel, MS Project and Powerpoint.
- Knowledge and experience with AS9100 a plus.
- Experience with manufacturing based ERP systems a plus.
