LHH Recruitment Solutions (formerly Ajilon) is currently seeking a MANUFACTURING/PROCESS ENGINEER for a new position located near Speedway IN. This well-established manufacturing company is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience producing plastic parts. This engineer will have knowledge of the new product manufacturing/production process and can improve, maintain, oversee production machines. They will also help implement lean processes and strategies to help reduce waste. Growing company with excellent benefits, 401k matching, and PTO. The salary range for this position is $80-90,000.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Monitor manufacturing processes and make recommendations for the continuous improvement of plastic injection molded parts.
- Collection, analysis and reporting of data for the packaging process operations including: Standard rates, OEE, maintenance logs, process performance, etc.
- Report and analyze waste trends including: scrap, quality, yield and material consumption rates to identify lean opportunities.
- Support IATF16949 and ISO14001 initiatives, with documented root cause analysis with permanent corrective actions for both internal and external customers.
- Provide support to machine maintenance technicians and manufacturing leaders to ensure packaging process equipment is operated efficiently and effectively to optimize production time and minimize breakdowns and repairs.
- Participate in Lean activities and reporting as it relates to packaging processes.
- Identify automation process improvements to reduce cost, improve process controls, and increase throughput
- Must be able to read blueprints and have some experience with AutoCAD.
- Implement Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing processes to analyze performance data, establish KPIs, eliminate waste, and drive overall quality improvements
EDUACATION/Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Engineering and/or Science is highly desired but not required with 8+ years experience
- 5+ experience in Engineering within Manufacturing/Operations for plastic injection molded parts
- Lean manufacturing experience for plastic injection molded part production
- Strong communication, leadership, time management skills
- Prior experience supporting IATF16949 and ISO14001 initiatives, with documented root cause analysis with permanent corrective actions for both internal and external customers.
- manufacturing production exp. for electrical products is a plus
- Must be a problem solver and results-oriented with a high sense of urgency
- Lean Six Sigma or other advanced lean certification HIGHLY desired
