Job Summary:

As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and improving our line of electromechanical fluid handling equipment. You will be responsible for designing new products, refining existing designs, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our solutions meet customer specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical design, with experience in fluid dynamics, motor control, and component integration.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Design: Lead the design and development of electromechanical fluid handling systems, including pumps, valves, and related equipment.
  • 3D Modeling: Create and update detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD software - ideally Creo or similar (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Prototype Development: Collaborate with the production and testing teams to build and evaluate prototypes, ensuring performance aligns with design specifications.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct and oversee performance tests, troubleshooting, and validation activities to ensure product quality and compliance with customer and industry standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Review existing designs and propose enhancements to improve performance, reduce costs, or enhance manufacturability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, production, and quality assurance teams to translate customer needs into practical, manufacturable designs.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, manuals, and testing procedures.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in product design and development, preferably in fluid handling systems or electromechanical equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software - ideally Creo, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD and experience with fluid dynamics and/or motor control systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot design issues and implement solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of precision in design work, with an emphasis on quality, reliability, and safety.
  • Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing fluid handling equipment such as pumps, valves, or similar components.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for fluid dynamics, electrical integration, and product safety.
  • Familiarity with prototyping, testing, and validation processes.
