Security Engineer

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a IT based Security Engineer in the consumer services industry, based in a city 30 minutes North of Dallas Texas. The primary function of this role is to design and implement secure systems, networks, and applications to protect sensitive data and assets from cyber threats. The Security Engineer will also work closely with other IT and security teams to integrate security best practices into the organization's IT processes and systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust security architectures using Azure security tools and frameworks.
• Manage and configure Azure security services, including Azure Security Center, Azure Defender, Azure Identity Management, and APIM.
• Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions to ensure secure and efficient user access control.
• Implement and manage privileged identity management solutions to control and monitor access to critical systems.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain CyberArk solutions to secure privileged accounts and credentials.
• Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Continuously monitor security alerts and events, conduct regular security audits, and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in the security infrastructure, including patch management and system hardening.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices and policies.

What you bring to the table:

• Served as IT based Security Engineer or similar role for over 5 years
• Hold relevant IT related Security Certifications such as a Azure Security Engineer Associate, CyberArk Trustee or Defender, CISM, CISSP, Etc.
• Possess a solid understanding and working experience with Microsoft Azure
• Proven experience with CyberArk in a professional setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in Firewall administration and management
• Hold a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
• Experience in retail industry will be an advantage
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
• Ability to identify potential threats and develop appropriate protection measures
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Demonstrated commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology and best practices in cloud security.
