Controls Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Controls Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation systems for our manufacturing and production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems, electrical engineering, and PLC programming. You will be responsible for ensuring that all systems operate efficiently, meet safety standards, and align with the overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop control logic for automated systems and processes.
• Create electrical and mechanical schematics to support system design.
• Integrate new equipment and control systems into existing production lines.
• Coordinate with other engineers, production teams, and vendors to ensure smooth system integration.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems and equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Perform simulations and validation tests to verify system functionality.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with automation systems, sensors, and equipment.
• Lead and manage control system projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Ensure all control systems meet safety and regulatory standards (such as OSHA, NFPA, etc.).
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation upgrades.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in controls engineering, automation, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.), HMI design, and SCADA systems ideally.
