The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience in Process/Production Engineering with a focus on distillation and associated unit operation processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Optimize distillation processes to improve efficiency, throughput, and product quality.
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce energy consumption, waste generation, and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, and reclaim to implement process improvements and troubleshoot issues.
- Provide technical support and guidance to operations personnel to ensure safe and efficient operation of distillation equipment.
- Perform process troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify and resolve operational issues, and material balances.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials for distillation processes.
- Participate in process hazard analyses (PHA) and management of change (MOC) processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Review & develop PFD, P&ID.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to distillation processes.
- Support new product development initiatives by providing expertise on distillation processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with 8 years to 10 years of experience. Master's degree with 5 years of experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in process/Production engineering with a focus on distillation and associated unit operation processes.
- Knowledge of process simulation software, lean and six sigma desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex process issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
