GENERAL SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Platform Engineer provides virtual and physical infrastructure evaluation, design, implementation and 3rd Level technical support services to staff and customers on software systems by testing software and hardware products and maintaining associated documentation. You will resolve assigned cases, implement change requests, and act as an escalation for support issues. You will assist with initiatives and innovative solutions through research and collaboration. Implements new software solutions as required by the business. The core infrastructure technology duties include enterprise Microsoft O/M365, Azure, SSO, Active Directory, and proficient with PowerShell Scripting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in designing, implementing, and enforcing email system security, hygiene, SPAM Control, and Geofencing.
  • Manage and maintain the Microsoft O/M365 environment, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive; Support eDiscovery and components of Purview.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of messaging and collaboration systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate messaging and collaboration services with other IT systems and applications.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues with end users, providing timely resolution and support.
  • Perform root cause analysis, document, and report on system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Develop techniques and implement the resolution of problems based on prior root cause analysis.
  • Interact with end users to troubleshoot reported problems or to perform required system maintenance activities.
  • Follow established Change Control procedures to document all production changes, and to limit unexpected interruptions to the production environment.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Exchange 2019 and Exchange Online.
  • Own and administer SPF, DMARC Policies.
  • Assist to develop automation routines to replace manual processes and increase efficiency.
  • Assist end-users and other IT groups by phone and email with third-level technical support. Contribute knowledge and updated information to maintain the Help Desk and desktop SOPs and Training manuals for Tier I/II support
  • Evaluate, Design, Plan and configure infrastructure, applications, monitor and management tools to best meet the company needs, and information security guidelines
  • Monitor vulnerabilities, plan and implement all remediation steps to meet Information security requirements
  • Work with server, network and IS groups to resolve technical problems.
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Technical Abilities with Microsoft M365, Exchange, Purview, and Compliance Center
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines Broad Knowledge
  • Experience in the design of entire IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to peers, management, and business stakeholders in a written and verbal fashion.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills are required in this position.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic project management concepts.
  • Attribute and object level knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Expert Knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to perform End Point management services Expert Knowledge
  • Technical skills to design, plan and implement highly Technical infrastructure and applications (virtual and physical) solutions Expert Knowledge

EDUCATION

  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or related (Required). In lieu of a dregree, candidate must have 2 years of related working experience and a high school diploma/GED.

EXPERIENCE

  • 4 years experience in an advanced platform engineer role (Required)
