Job Requirements / Description
Responsibilities:
- Discuss and comprehend technical topics on both electrical and mechanical components with both internal product development teams and external vendors.
- Execute extensive review of all electrical components; from review selects primary, secondary, and tertiary electrical component options. Options will be inputted into IBA's Product Lifecyle Management software.
- Thoroughly understand the electrical component supplier pool ensuring suppliers are positioned for success given IBA's supply demand.
- Manage vendor relationships from qualification through development and continuous improvement.
- Co-lead new product development amongst internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Build long-term relationships by providing value, opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building for multiple vendors.
- Increase vendor participation through deep knowledge of program opportunities.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality teams to understand supplier performance compared to expectation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor or customer management.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in relevant field - preferably in Engineering
- Ability to understand and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Must have a high technical aptitude.
- Previous knowledge of commonly used controls engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to understand manufacturer data sheets and apply them in practice.
- Work with personnel at all levels of an organization.
- Maintain poise and focus under time constraint pressures and the potential of long work hours.
- Computer proficiency with demonstrated experience in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Must be able to travel 30% of the year.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in Autodesk Software or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management Software
- Experience with root cause analysis practices
