Engineering Manager
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (100% onsite)
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000
Overview: Seeking an Engineering Manager with 15+ years of experience to lead a dynamic team in the design and manufacture of industrial products.
Must Haves / Mandatory:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 15+ years of engineering experience
- Experience with a broad range of manufacturing processes
- Leadership experience in managing engineering teams
Nice to Have / Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- Certified Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt and Lean product development concepts experience
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25%
Qualifications:
- Experience in engineering, particularly in the design & manufacture of industrial products
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to attract and retain technical talent
- Strong project management skills and experience with project management tools
- Knowledge in developing and improving engineering systems and processes
Responsibilities:
- Set project strategy and priorities, provide technical leadership, and mentor the engineering team to execute industry-focused projects.
- Lead the design, feasibility evaluation, and launch of new products and processes, ensuring they meet customer needs and business viability.
- Oversee testing lab operations, set testing standards, and collaborate globally to achieve project goals.
- Provide technical support to improve existing products, develop metrics for product delivery, and research new product opportunities.
- Manage rapid-prototyping activities, field testing, continuous improvement programs, and budget planning for research and development.
