As a Principal DevSecOps Engineer in our Cardiac Rhythm Management Organization, you will design, build, and maintain solutions that help deliver a reliable, scalable, and efficient platform foundation that supports the deployment, management, and monitoring of our applications and services. You will use cloud technology to automate many components of the software development and deployment lifecycle.

This position is in Mounds View, MN. within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) operating unit and requires on-site presence three days a week.

A Day in the Life :

1. Collaborate with the architecture team to design the organization's platform infrastructure, considering scalability, performance, security, and automation.
2. Develop and maintain automation scripts, infrastructure-as-code solutions, and configuration management tools to streamline the provisioning and management of infrastructure resources.
3. Drive the implementation of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to enable efficient deployment and scaling of applications.
4. Develop policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance for both CI/CD operations and for work of developers.
5. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to DevOps teams, fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and collaboration.
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into robust and scalable platform solutions.
7. Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends to identify opportunities for improving the platform's architecture and processes.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application-related issues.
9. Lead capacity planning efforts to ensure the platform can accommodate growth and changing demands.
10. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for architecture, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
11. Contribute to the organization's technical strategy by providing insights and recommendations on infrastructure improvements and innovations.

1. 5 years of experience operating a large, distributed, production software stack
2. 5 years of experience with Linux systems administration (preferably RH/EPEL derivatives)
3. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Docker, building Docker files and images, establishing Docker image repositories.
4. 2-3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes and creating and managing a Kubernetes based infrastructure
5. 3 years of experience in a public or private cloud environment
6. Proven experience delivering software using .Net, C, Java, Python, Golang, or similar languages
7. Strong understanding of computer networking and security fundamentals and tools and techniques typically encountered in troubleshooting distributed systems
8. Experience with CI/CD/CT pipelines and source code control
9. Experience with Kubernetes package management solutions such as Helm
10. Experience working in an Agile team setting
11. Experience working with a secure software development lifecycle
12. Experience building, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines & pipeline templates
13. Proficiency in leveraging automated testing tools to automate testing.
