Cloud Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Software application development in Java, Python, Ruby
2. Experience designing and using web services APIs (RESTful, SOAP)
3. Linux system administration and application deployment/support

Preferred Experience:

1. Reporting and operational dashboards
2. Configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef)
3. Familiar with PaaS solutions and cloud-based application development/deployment
4. Release management experience, especially in an operational setting
5. Automated deployment frameworks, continuous integration platforms

Non-Technical Requirements:

1. Ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture approach to developers and management
2. Solid understanding of IT systems development process, including architecture, design & engineering, development, and operations
3. Experience working within an ITIL-based organization (training/certification a plus)
4. Prior operational responsibilities are highly desirable
5. Technology leadership skills to include coaching/mentoring/teaching, critical thinking/judgment, facilitation and leading change

Travel Requirements: 10% some travel within the US may be required.
