AECOM is seeking a Digital & Engineering Technology Intern to be based in Denver, Colorado .

This position is expected to begin in Fall 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
  • Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and must have completed at least one year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have the ability to commute to the Denver Tech Center.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and time-management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to explore new subject matters (chemistry, environmental compliance, geology, etc.).
  • Object oriented programming/design.
  • Web development in Visual Studio using .NET (Framework or Core), MVC, MVVM, Entity Framework, etc.
  • Programming in .NET (C#, VB), VBA/VB6, and/or Java.
  • HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, TypeScript, Mithril, reactive programming.
  • Relational database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, Microsoft Access, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Graphing and reporting with tools such as SSRS, Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, SVG generation, OpenXml etc.
  • Working in a consulting environment, balancing multiple priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in the software development industry.

Additional Information:

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Denver, Colorado . The selected candidate must be available to work in Denver, Colorado on a scheduled basis.
