Wagstaff prides itself in manufacturing 100% of its products at its two facilities in Spokane, Washington, and Hebron, Kentucky.PM22Primary duties consist of producing CNC part programs under the supervision of more senior technician and/or using established procedures and tools to produce part programs in support of Production needs.Requirements:Use established manufacturing processes to generate Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) part programs used by Wagstaff, Inc. to manufacture their primary products to produce goods.Analyze drawings, sketches and design data of parts to determine dimensions and configurations of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed ratesAdjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining qualityConsider tools required to cut different types of materials and program machines accordinglyInterface with machine operators as needed to ensure optimum machine programmingComputes angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures, and outlines sequence of operations required to machine partsWrites instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machineConfer with Manufacturing Support and Production on processes, setups & fixturesParticipate in meetings and on special task force projectsWilling to work overtime as neededQualificationsA two-year (2) degree in Manufacturing Technology, Machine Tool Technology or Manufacturing Technology, or equivalent machine shop or relevant manufacturing experienceExperience using Mazatrol, MasterCam and SolidWorks for CNC programmingInterpret mechanical drawings for fit, finish, dimensions and tolerancesSkilled at troubleshooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that ariseThe ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essentialExperience with interpreting technical drawings and blueprintsGood analytical skills and problem-solving abilityKnowledge of safety practices concerning machine toolsThe ability to work independently and closely follow directions is essentialDetail-oriented, accurate and thoroughWorking EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery and equipment, and vibration. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. While performing some job duties, there is a risk of electrical shock and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment.Job duties may require work in high, precarious places, work in outside weather conditions, and exposure to extreme temperatures in some cases. The noise level in the working environment is often loud.
