Manager, Engineering

The Manager, Engineering supervises and provides technical direction to one or more implementation teams made up of software and test engineers.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Designing, building, and releasing software features and bug fixes for the Relias’ platform as a senior engineer developer.
• Leading and growing a team of software engineers in an Agile environment.
• Recommending strategies for complex technical problems.
• Developing domain and technology knowledge, including services, methodologies, strategies, standards, tools, and best practices for development processes.
• Acting as an agile delivery lead and actively participating in backlog management, sprint planning, feature refinement.

YOU’VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES IF YOU HAVE:

• 3 years leading, mentoring, and developing technical talent.
• 7+ years experience in software development.
• 2 - 5 years of .NET Core, C#.
• 1+ years of SQL Server.
• Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms.
• Experience with Agile methodology and SDLC.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• AZ 900 Certification and AZ204 Certification.
• Hands-on experience with system design, service-oriented architecture, and microservices.
• Strong understanding of the following technologies:
  • Object Oriented languages such as C# or Java.
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, and Angular.
  • SQL Server or other relational databases.
  • Public cloud-hosted solutions like Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Experience leading engineering teams and delivering using an agile methodology.
• Demonstrated competence in problem-solving, time management, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor and grow a team of software engineers.

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU HAVE:

• 1+ years of using a modern Front End frameworks (Angular, React, Svelte, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
