Materials Process Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

• Collaborate in a team to improve manufacturing processes in aerospace and industrial investment casting markets.
• Develop and teach best practice investment casting procedures to meet business objectives.
• Identify and solve problems affecting product quality and yield.
• Occasionally lead in resolving cross-functional issues.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Interpret customer specifications for NDT specifications.
• Develop the overall metallurgical casting process.
• Assess metal structures and behavior.
• Investigate metallurgical failure using root cause analysis.
• Publish reports on research and completed tests.
• Improve process yields using data analysis techniques.
• Document work procedures and processes.
• Audit production lots for adherence to established techniques.
• Implement new process technologies for manufacturing capabilities.
• Work closely with other departments to achieve organizational objectives.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and reduce costs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education : BS in Engineering or related technical field
• Experience : Minimum 3 years applicable experience
• Certifications/Licenses : None
• General required knowledge, skills & abilities : Able to interpret customer drawings and navigate models, good communication skills, excellent organizational skills
