What You'll Do:

  1. Performs analysis, design, development and implementation of IT strategic applications and data services. Help with solution design efforts and impact analysis for varying sizes of critical applications and ensures standard operating procedures are being followed.
  2. Analyzes complex business and systems requirements, and designs solutions for applications, data, processes, interfaces, controls, outputs, environment, and infrastructure tools/utilities.
  3. Ensures that disruption to applications is minimized through analysis, planning and testing of proposed software fixes and updates and adherence to strict change management processes. Conduct deep dive analysis of application issues across the full stack (UI, middleware, microservices, data) and recommend solutions.
  4. Assist application services teams with technical support when required between Applications and other IT technical engineering groups, including operational, maintenance and modification of interfaces and reports, as well as general technical modifications.
  5. Anticipates and identifies potential problems before they occur and implements solutions and schedules and prioritizes work, minimizing impact on projects and users.

Job Functions:

  1. Ability to bridge architecture and development workforce in implementing solutions with sufficient infusion of architectural constructs, standards and best practices.
  2. Planning work for teams to ensure IP retention within T+L Ability to work with vendor delivery teams and contractors in delivery practice to ensure quality software product delivery.
  3. Ability to understand a variety of T+L standard technologies and frameworks.
  4. Ability to understand and retain SME level knowledge in a portfolio across several portfolios to be part of the IP stewards for T+L.
  5. Availability and ability to collaborate with stakeholders in person and via electronic collaboration technologies to ensure sufficient team participation.
  6. Promptly escalate issues, which affect product delivery and quality that are beyond scope of influence and report same to reporting manager.
  7. Conduct peer-reviews and lead reviews and provide feedback.
  8. Provide accurate and detailed weekly task reports.
  9. Clarify all unknown areas, which are communicated by stakeholders.
  10. Develop, maintain, troubleshoot, enhance and document components.
  11. Able to debug the code independently on need basis for any high priority production issue.
  12. Develop by self and others as per the requirements and detailed design.
  13. Conduct thorough unit testing, code reviews and integration testing for the whole system.
  14. Ability to estimate the work for both effort and duration.

What You Bring:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology / Computer Science, Business.
  2. Master's degree is a plus.
  3. Experience with major application development languages (Java preferred or .NET C#).
  4. One or more of the following technologies Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring Web MVC, Hibernate, RESTful, JSON, and Angular JS.
  5. N- Tier Application design, UX/UI experience.
  6. Proficiency in analysis/design methods and techniques including UML, Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Class Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams.
  7. Experience with highly integrated application systems/platforms, data flows, and business processes.
  8. Strong SQL experience.
  9. Experience or strong understanding with Services (micro-services, SOA, API).
  10. Experience or strong understanding with ETL tool (Informatica preferred, SSIS, Mulesoft, or similar).
  11. Deep understanding of SOLID design patterns, SOA principles and its implementation methodologies (Oracle Fusion experience, a plus).
  12. Familiarity with Data modeling / design experience.
  13. Experience with XML and enterprise integration technologies including Web Services (SOAP/WSDL).
  14. Formal software development methodologies experience.
  15. Integration technologies i.e. Apache Camel or Fusion experience is a plus.
  16. Experience with Java Message Service i.e. Apache Kafka or Rabbit MQ is preferred.
  17. Continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline).
  18. CI/CD software such as GitOps, GitLab, Jenkins, TFS, etc.
  19. Experience with code quality software such as SonarQube.
  20. Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud integration.
  21. 7+ years' experience as a software architect, systems analyst, software engineer of which 2+ years must be in a technical lead role capacity.
  22. Experience working in large hospitality industry is preferred.
  23. Experience in business process improvement and systems convergence initiatives.
  24. Experience working with offshore development teams and guide them throughout the software development lifecycle.
