Summary:This will be your network and it is constantly growing. Your primary function will be to ensure that the network is reliable, robust and can scale to meet the challenges that serving over a billion users presents. Then this is the role for you!Required Skills:Network Production Engineer (University Grad) Responsibilities:Build experience with Backbone, Data Center, and Network Infrastructure Engineering teams through rotational experiences during your first yearBuild, manage and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol data center and backbone networksDevelop optimized network monitoring systemsDesign, and deploy new network architecturesDevelop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network eventsAnalyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network issuesBe an active participant in deep technical discussionsDevelop and maintain consistency within the network infrastructureMinimum Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.Experience with computer networksExperience with UNIX, TCP/IP, network fundamentals, or similarExperience coding in at least one language (Python/Golang/Rust/C++ are all in use)Experience learning new concepts around network design and managementMust obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employmentPreferred Qualifications:Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Switching and Routing concepts and implementationKnowledge of routing protocols BGP, OSPF and ISISKnowledge of tunneling protocols MPLS, GRE, IPnIPPublic Compensation:$105,000/year to $137,000/year + bonus + equity + benefitsIndustry: InternetEqual Opportunity:Meta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
