The Director of Infrastructure and DevOps is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of the organization's IT infrastructure and DevOps practices. This role combines strategic leadership with technical expertise to ensure that the infrastructure is robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.
The responsibilities include designing and implementing DevOps architecture, managing infrastructure, and collaborating with the Enterprise Application team to facilitate and optimize our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
Our ideal candidate is diligent and hands-on, leading an infrastructure transformation from a data center to a resilient, hybrid cloud environment. In addition, the candidate possesses excellent troubleshooting skills, is well-versed in various DevOps tools and technologies, including cloud services and containerization, and is familiar with agile practices.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the infrastructure team including training and mentoring team members on DevOps best practices and new technologies.
- Design, build, and manage the CI/CD infrastructure and automation tools to deliver high availability applications and infrastructure and high-quality software.
- Optimize the company’s computing architecture to design, implement and support resilient, high availability infrastructure and applications in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Work directly with the Enterprise Application and operations teams to solve operational issues and create tools, processes, and systems that improve our overall operational reliability and resilience.
- Monitor, analyze, and manage technical operations to ensure optimal performance, system health, uptime, and capacity.
- Proactively identify potential issues and implement solutions to mitigate the impact on operations. Provide guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits.
- Create and maintain clear and concise documentation relating to the implemented DevOps processes and tools.
- Develop and maintain systems for configuration management.
- Work with Cyber Security team to conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
- Create and test disaster recovery plans including conducting regular system backups.
- Define and manage an effective Change Management policy.
What You’ll Own:
- Designing Cloud Platform: Create scalable, secure, and reliable cloud platform on Microsoft Azure.
- Implementation: Implement cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Migration: Lead the migration of on-premises applications and data to the Azure cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Security: Implement CR security policies and compliance standards. Influence policies to incorporate security best practices.
- Optimization: Monitor cloud performance and optimize for cost, performance, and scalability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate cloud solutions and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest Azure services and industry trends, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions to improve cloud infrastructure.
- Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and provide ongoing support and maintenance for cloud environments.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
- 10+ years’ work experience as a DevOps Architect, having hands-on experience defining and implementing a resilient Azure cloud infrastructure.
- 3+ years leading infrastructure teams to drive cloud migration for resiliency and scalability.
- Experience with networks, security, and cloud systems.
- Cloud Architecture: Ability to design scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Security: Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
- A collaborative and team-focused attitude.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies.
- Scripting: Skills in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Strong understanding of network security, cryptography, and secure coding practices.

WORK LOCATION
Onsite – In order to fulfill responsibilities of the Director, Azure Infrastructure and DevOps position, this job is required to work in a specific Construction Resources manufacturing, production, or office environment.
