Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science or related field
- 5+ years of experience in full stack Python development
- 3-5 years of experience with PostgreSQL
- 3-5 years of experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js (Vue.js is preferred, this is what Enodo uses), and CSS pre-processing frameworks (Sass or Less)
- Experience developing document parsing and workflow automation algorithms
- Experience developing Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology for real estate focused applications
- Familiarity with real estate industry terminology and vocabulary, and a working knowledge of the commercial real estate underwriting process
- Experience using GitHub and solid understanding of software version control
- Experience developing user-facing software
- Familiarity with Jira or equivalent project management software
- Familiarity with agile development best practices
- Driven self-starter able to work on a small team and take initiative on new tasks
- Familiarity with real estate or finance is a plus
- Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes
- Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team of data scientists, software engineers and real estate professionals to develop new features and support the existing platform
- Lead the document parsing and OCR research initiatives of our data science team
- Study developments in data science, and leverage newly developed libraries and technologies to continually advance the document processing capabilities of Enodo’s software
- Strive for high quality and rapid output utilizing agile software development best practices
- Support, maintain, and document software functionality
- Maintain industry standard coding, compliance, & security practices
- Proactively learn product frameworks and code base
- Communicate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, often in combination with travel
As a Lead Full Stack (Python, PostgreSQL and HTML/CSS/JavaScript) Engineer focused on Workflow Automation Research, you'll work on the interface and backend infrastructure of products and features used by hundreds of underwriters and real estate analysts every day. The work is challenging, fast-paced, and always changing. You must have demonstrated analytical skills, an unwavering commitment to quality, a collaborative work ethic, and cutting-edge coding skills. You must display solid proficiency in the fundamentals of Python, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and popular front-end frameworks like Vue.js.
