Job Requirements / Description
A contract role with an EPC company for a contract LNG Project Engineer has arose for an initial 6 months, you'll be working directly on-site 3/4 days per week through a W-2 set up.
Project Engineer Experience:
- 10+ years in project engineering roles within the energy industry.
- General understanding of Midstream/LNG design and operations.
- Comprehensive engineering knowledge including mechanical, electrical, civil, and I&C.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- In-depth understanding of quality assurance and control practices.
- Expertise in safety studies in the oil & gas sector.
- Familiarity with engineering and construction standards and processes.
- Proficient in relevant industry modeling software
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Effective computer skills including project management tools, spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and presentation software.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and manage teams.
- Self-starter with strategic thinking abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to create a collaborative and effective interface and coordination environment.
- Focus on meeting/exceeding performance parameters.
Project Engineer Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and interface with management for engineering activities related to Midstream projects.
- Support generation of scopes of work, basis of design documents, and external scope documents for engineering procurement.
- Execute engineering recommendations, estimates, schedules, and technical specifications.
- Interface with the document control team to ensure timely responses to technical deliverables.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Fieldwork at project sites as needed to support engineering, contracting, and other tasks.
- Travel to project sites to coordinate engineering/construction interfaces and commissioning/start-up.
- Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to ensure timely deliverables and efficient interface management.
- Review project documents to ensure compliance with requirements and raise non-compliance issues.
- Work with contractors to expedite work activities and resolve project issues.
- Attend and participate in project key meetings.
- Conduct technical coordination meetings as needed.
- Generate project reports on engineering status including TQs, RFIs, Document Reviews, and KPI tracking.
- Support E&C Construction Manager and Operations Manager with constructability and plant operability concerns.
- Identify and resolve project issues consistent with EPC contracts and engineering management plans.
