Key Job Responsibilities

1. Own the design, implementation, and verification of components leveraging standard software engineering methodologies.
2. Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
3. Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
4. Work with other teams to deliver and operate large scale, distributed services in the cloud.
5. Work on overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
6. Mentor other engineers, define our technical culture, and help to build a fast-growing team.

Minimum Requirements

1. 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2. 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
3. 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
4. Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
5. 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
6. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

The base salary for this position ranges from $150,700/year up to $251,700/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
