Overview:
The Systems Engineer position within the Implementation and Onboarding team is responsible for specification consultation, configuration, and testing of Blackhawk Network payment processing services for internal customers and external Blackhawk Network partners. This includes but not limited to: interaction with internal and external clients to support specification integration, troubleshooting and resolving integration issues, and working directly with other integration engineers, systems engineers, project / implementation managers, and QA engineers as required by the project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- You’re responsible for our IdP solution and SaaS resources owned by corporate IT; maintaining, securing, auditing and procuring/deploying new services driven by business objectives.
- Create and maintain automation orchestration of corporate objects, including but not limited to employee account creation and licensing; you’ll help team members understand our automations, ensuring they can be maintained by the team.
- Ensure the continued operation, performance and security of the BHN corporate and virtual network, this includes physical site based networks / office ISPs and our VPN services (this does not include our customer facing environment).
- Management of our corporate devices such as but not limited to servers, computers and mobile devices, maintaining compliance standards and accurate inventory.
- Responsible for the corporate IT (servers and user endpoints) vulnerability remediation program, working in concert with the Infosec team to harden systems and devices.
- Responsible for the corporate services Business Continuity plan: maintaining security, backup, redundancy strategies and recovery processes.
- You will participate in the application of regulatory and compliances efforts such as but not limited to ISO and SoC
- You’ll participate in the decision and design of corporate information systems, both corporate and SaaS based; creating and maintaining network documentation as it pertains to corporate infrastructure
- You’ll participate in the management of the vendors responsible for the services BHN provides to employees under the responsibility of Systems Engineering.
- You’ll provide support where appropriate for end users issues that are escalated by the Helpdesk staff.
- Other assigned work within the realm of corporate infrastructure.
- Travel to our satellite offices, about 5-10% of your time
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years in a previous Cloud/Systems Engineering position or 4-6 years as a Systems Administrator with a record of deploying SaaS systems.
- 2-4 years of experience administering Okta with a proven record of creating automation using available APIs and working with Okta Workflows or equivalent tool.
- 1+ years working with Service Now
- 2-3 years of experience working with AWS networks
- Demonstrated success working with APIs and making use of services to leverage automation on a variety of platforms.
- You're a self starter, you need little to no direction from management; frequently wowing by overdelivering.
- Ability to perform in ambiguous situations, if you aren’t knowledgeable about the issue at hand you know how to “Google it” and learn what needs to be done.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, you know how to get down to the root of a problem; there are no dead ends, if you don’t know the answer you’ll find it out!
- Prioritization skills, you’re an expert at knowing when to work on the right ticket allowing you to juggle multiple tasks at the same time.
- Attention to detail, you are meticulous; you're able to produce polished and easy to understand administrative guides and keep a wide range of systems and documents up to date.
- Experience with other BHN tools are a plus: Okta, Service Now Google Workspace, Duo, Azure Active Directory, Slack, Meraki, Palo Alto Firewalls, Jira, CrowdStrike, Nessus, Zscaler, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, Kandji, Box, Powershell, Bash.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 4 year college degree or 2 year technical degree

- Certifications in one or more of the following: Google Workplace, Okta, MCSE, CCNA, Net+, Zscaler
Salary Range for California Residents Only: $82,710.00 to $107,536.00
