ManTech is seeking a Cyber Network Data Engineer in Herndon, VA. The Data Engineer is responsible for making data available, accessible, and secure to all stakeholders. As a Data Engineer on our team, you will design, build, and optimize systems for data collection, storage, access, and analytics at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Create robust and resilient data pipelines to connect data sources to analytics tools
  2. Work with various analysts to craft requirements
  3. Enumerate the necessary datasets and design the data model and schemas to support the requirements
  4. Provide platform support, including problem solving and debugging, for production issues
  5. Interact and collaborate across the services and communities involved in multi-domain Cyber Defense to achieve breakthrough improvements in capabilities

Required qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience with data engineering in an enterprise-scale environment
  2. Experience working with various file formats such as JSON, XML or similar
  3. Experience working with analytic platforms such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, Kibana or similar
  4. Knowledge of AWS cloud services and tools, such as Lambdas, EC2s and S3
  5. Knowledge of the data ETL pipeline, including data retrieval
  6. Experience with programming, coding, or scripting
  7. Active/Current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in technical field of study such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar field
  2. Experience writing code or scripts in Python
  3. Experience with relational and non-relational databases
  4. Experience briefing other stakeholders on your findings and recommendations
  5. Knowledge of data extraction, transformation, normalization, enrichment, correlation, storage, and API development and integration
  6. Ability to demonstrate effective research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Ability to demonstrate effective organizational skills and attention to detail
  8. Ability to collaborate with others who are conducting research in the same, similar, or different areas

Clearance Requirements:

  1. Active/Current TS/SCI with polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  1. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  2. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer
  3. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
