Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Software Engineer to fill an open position with a Fortune 15 company based in the greater Seattle area. This role offers the exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team providing engineering system infrastructure, build and release support for Visual C++ products. The candidate will contribute to the continuity of support for the Visual C++ Runtime and drive necessary engineering system improvements. They will be involved in debugging and developing C++ applications and tools essential for shipping C++ compilers and runtimes on the Windows platform, gaining firsthand experience in delivering products in Visual Studio.

In this role you will:

• Apply source code changes to supported versions of the Visual C++ product
• Evolve, extend, and improve supporting infrastructure
• Document processes and develop automation to simplify tasks
• Fine-tune and improve sophisticated software implementation projects
• Gather and analyze system requirements, develop software solutions, and review enhancement requests
• Implement and customize system software to meet client requirements
• Prepare detailed software specifications, conduct unit testing, and create migration packages
• Provide quality assurance reviews and resolve any bugs found during testing
• Perform post-implementation validation of software

The Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of overall experience in the field
• 2+ years of experience with C or C++ development
• 1+ year of experience with MSBuild or comparable build system technologies
• Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Experience with large systems software design and development
• Ability to perform in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy products
