American Engineering is adding December 2024 and May 2025 civil engineering graduates to our team who are eager to be part of a growing engineering firm which works on interesting and challenging projects.
Not sure exactly what type of civil engineering you want to do? We might be a fit for you. We don't pigeon-hole our staff, especially our new grads. You may get a chance to work on a variety of project types.
We have reasonable expectations of our new grads. We stress collaboration and sharing of teammates between our departments.
About the Role:
Our new colleagues would typically have a shiny new Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or something similar. New staff will be part of engineering design teams in Transportation, Land Development, or Municipal/Infrastructure Departments.
Responsibilities:
- Embrace the hands-on American Academy training program
- Have an intellectual curiosity
- Ask a lot of questions of the numerous PEs on the team
- Work on a variety of project types
- Collaborate and share with teammates between departments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Graduating December 2024 OR May 2025
- No experience necessary but relevant internship experience highly encouraged.
Required Skills:
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Introduced to software such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer
