Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
As our Software Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of software design and implementation. The software will be based on SOLID object-oriented principles and done in compliance with the Software Quality Management System. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing software based on SOLID object-oriented design principles.
- Writing code that is easy to read, maintainable, and extendable.
- Writing and maintaining software unit tests.
- Analyzing and solving complex technical problems.
- Designing, prototyping, and developing user interface components.
- Providing process improvement ideas and best practices for use throughout the development community.
- Developing and maintaining software requirements.
- Performing software testing using formal test cases.
- Developing and reviewing software development project artifacts and documents.
- Assists and mentors less senior software development resources.
What You Need to Succeed
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Five years of software development experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of experience using current development tools for building desktop applications running under Windows.
- Thorough knowledge of SOLID object-oriented design principles.
- Experience with Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps a plus.
- Experience with the following tools: Microsoft Visual Studio, .Net, C#, Blazor, and Git.
- Experience with web application development is highly preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD (continuous integrations/continuous deployment) is a plus.
- Familiarity with UI design principles and UML.
- Ability to lead and mentor less senior developers.
