Beverlin Manufacturing is a growing family-owned niche supplier of perforated metal tube products and assemblies which are used in global filtration, exhaust and industrial markets. Basic Function:
Develops, Plans, Executes Engineering projects to continuously improve Beverlin’s Equipment, Processes, and Systems.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Safety – Be a champion for workplace safety, working with Safety coordinator and leading by example.
- New/Existing equipment Upgrades
- Collect and analyze data to drive decisions in capital equipment and process change opportunities
- Develop specifications
- Cost justification
- Develop and manage timelines
- Implement, launch, execute improvement
- Verify improvement and document
- Process upgrades
- Use data driven analysis to identify areas for Beverlin to improve our Processes to be Best-in-Class
- Develop improvement targets
- Create time bound and action plan to achieve.
- Measure and document improvements
- Scrap and rework analysis Beverlin product families to identify improvement opportunities.
- Good Project Management skills
- Create detailed and well thought out time bound plans
- Ability to break down large scale problems and projects into smaller steps that lead to solutions
- Good follow up and follow through on assigned tasks within the team
- Ability to see and target waste (8 wastes)
- Good understanding of lean manufacturing (Lean in a low volume/HI-mix environment is a plus)
- Continuous improvement.
Necessary Skills:
- Engineering/technical degree or equivalent experience is required
- Prefer 3-5 years of experience in an engineering role
- Manufacturing experience, experience in manufacturing metals a plus
- Familiarity with welding, lasers/laser programming and/or roll forming preferred.
- Ability to work with a team, communicate well with multiple levels of the organization and learn quickly
