Project and Commissioning Engineer

As a Project and Commissioning Engineer, you will drive project management and engineering actions, ensuring timely completion. Additionally, manage customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle, while maintaining seamless communication channels with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Conduct onsite installation and configuration of SCADA/SCADA HMI systems and monitoring devices, including rigorous testing, seamless start-up, and verification of accurate configurations.
  2. Programming of data acquisition devices using Linux OS or similar, data servers and other equipment involved in a SCADA system for a solar PV plant.
  3. Perform onsite training and testing to operators/customers about the SCADA capabilities, HMI, and hardware overall design.
  4. Generate reports according to the tasks and tests performed.
  5. Communicate with customers about technical aspects and support required, before, during, and after commissioning of the SCADA/monitoring system; and provide technical assistance through emails and calls on the platform's performance/configuration (Technical Assistance Support).
  6. Generate basic drawings in CAD for technical requirements of the SCADA system and other associated documentation required in the project execution.
  7. Remote support to onsite partners/staff to perform commissioning services on SCADA/monitoring systems.

  1. Engineering degree (Telecommunications, IT, Control Systems, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics).

Desired:

  • 1 to 2 years experience with industrial communication equipment & protocols (RS485, Modbus, Ethernet).
  • Understanding of configurations and troubleshooting of local networks.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to write clear and accurate reports.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Japanese and English.
  • Basic Programming knowledge in C, Python, Structural Text Essential.

If you’ve got these in your back pocket, consider it a bonus:

  • Knowledge/experience in renewable energies (mainly Solar PV and Wind).
  • General knowledge in SQL Databases.
  • Working experience with Linux OS.
