We are seeking a skilled and organized Mechanical Assembly Team Lead to oversee our mechanical assembly team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical assembly processes, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the team’s success.

As the Mechanical Assembly Team Lead, you will play a key role in coordinating assembly tasks, managing resources, and maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Lead, guide, and mentor a team of mechanical assemblers in their daily tasks, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
  2. Coordinate and delegate assembly tasks to team members, ensuring timely project completion while meeting quality standards. Troubleshoot and offer solutions to address any assembly challenges that may arise.
  3. Perform routine quality checks on assembled products, promptly address any quality related issues, collaborate with the team to make necessary adjustments, and institute measures to improve the overall quality of products.
  4. Effectively manage and allocate resources, encompassing tools and materials. Keep a vigilant eye on inventory levels, coordinating timely replenishment. Collaborate seamlessly with other departments to guarantee a smooth workflow.
  5. Recognize and address training needs within the team by organizing pertinent training programs. Cultivate continuous skill development and learning among team members while working toward establishing a cross-functional and versatile team environment.
  6. Serve as a bridge linking the assembly team to upper management. Communicate project updates, challenges, and successes. Facilitate streamlined communication within the team.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education is a plus, or 2-4 years related experience and/or training.
  2. Proven experience in mechanical assembly with a demonstrated ability to lead a team.
  3. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and assembly processes.
  4. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to challenges.
  7. Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
