POSITION SUMMARY:
This role will work in the CCG Controls Software team and will be responsible for design, development, and implementation of control software to support residential and commercial HVAC products that meet or exceed best-in-class performance and reliability targets across multiple platforms and product families, as well as manufacturing support for existing products.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Provide measurable contribution to new product development projects and sustaining initiatives.
  • Leads projects of minor complexity that may be derived largely from existing product.
  • Support control software qualification and agency compliance test programs.
  • Support manufacturing, sales & marketing, quality, and supply chain functions.
  • Interface with vendors, customers, and field personnel.
  • Document control designs by preparing bills of material, drawings, specifications, and product change notifications.
  • Demonstrates ability to use general electrical engineering troubleshooting tools (i.e., oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, etc.)
  • Performs basic troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Tests software developed by another engineer and properly documents the test results.
  • Develop, optimize, and verify software employing advanced analytical methods and experimental techniques.
  • Ensure design quality, supporting your calculations and design proposals.
  • Develops straightforward software projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, related field, or applicable work experience. Preferred emphasis on control theory.
Experience:
  • Entry Level: previous internship or work experience preferred.
Computer Skills:
  • Familiar with Integrated Development Environment Software (MP Lab, STM32CubeIDE, etc.)
  • Familiar with Programming languages (C, C++, assembly, Python, and Visual Basic)
  • Familiar with Version Control systems (Git, Vault, Apache, etc.)
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite products.
Certificates & Licenses:
  • None required.
Other Requirements:
  • Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of electrical / control design theory and practice.
