Position OverviewInternational Corporation, a leading North American truck manufacturer with great products, a strong market position and best-in-class distribution network, has an exciting new opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer - Battery EOL Systems to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team at our Advanced Technology Center in Elmendorf, TX just outside of San Antonio.The Manufacturing Engineer - Battery EOL Systems will support the development of manufacturing processes, particularly in the high voltage battery area, and will be responsible for planning, coordinating and carrying out all Project related activities (Ex: PreStudy, Equipment Specification, RFQ, Procurement phase, Factory + Site acceptance test, Commissioning, Trials, SOP etc) for the EOL equipment modification and battery management software system. Travel can be up to 50% at any Navistar plants in US, Mexico, Europe and Asia.ResponsibilitiesSupport product development (R&D) on product concepts.Influence design to ensure manufacturability and DFALead role in resolving battery End of Line Testing issues.Work cross functionally to support manufacturing initiatives and best practicesContribute to the development and improvement of quality control processes and procedures by working in sync withQuality, EOL Engineers and R&DDevelop, implement, and optimize end-of-line testing processes for high voltage battery manufacturingDevelop associated assembly/testing equipment and tooling designs. Lead select projects from concept thru procurement, installation, and commissioning.Standardize manufacturing processes by benchmarking other facilities’ manufacturing processes and integration of best practices and standards into new process development.Assist with development of project workplans, timelines, and resource requirementsCoordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating resultsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing procedures meet quality and safety standardsAnalyze test data and provide feedback to improve battery performance and reliabilityRepresents manufacturing on cross-functional and cross brand teams.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to testing equipment, processes, and battery management softwareTrain and support production staff on testing procedures, equipment, and softwareMaintain and update testing documentation, protocols, and softwareMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s degreeAt least 5 years of experience in product manufacturingORMaster’s degreeAt least 3 years of experience in product manufacturingORAt least 7 years of experience in product manufacturingAdditional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
