About the Team
The content growth team is an important part of TikTok machine learning. Our main focus is using algorithm approaches to better grow the number of high-quality creators, motivate them to create more videos, and thus enrich the overall quality and diversity of the contents on our platform. Our team's work is vital to the success of the mission to make our product an inclusive and enjoyable platform for users across all age groups and from all backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  1. Build the industry leading recommendation system for short-form video
  2. Improve recommendation quality via sophisticated ML modeling and domain knowledge
  3. Optimize creator and viewer experience by developing better user behavior understanding through advanced data mining techniques

Qualifications
  1. 5 years+ of industry experience
  2. Strong coding, data, and algorithm fundamentals
  3. Excellent analytical skills and passion for tackling challenging problems
  4. Keen insight and interest in the product
  5. Solid teamwork capabilities
  6. Experience in one or more machine learning, natural language processing, and data mining
  7. Background in recommendation systems, advertising, creator and/or search is a plus

Job Information:
Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $172000 - $337280 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
