Responsibilities
We are seeking a mission-focused Software Engineer with Python experience to support and contribute to our government customer’s success in Denver, Colorado !
This position is on a program that is at the forefront of developing and operating Geospatial Intelligence analysis software. This team builds and maintains an exceptionally powerful platform enabling our users to address challenging real-world problems by converting disparate data into actionable information. They work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to create actionable intelligence from the massive volumes of Geospatial Intelligence data to give our intel and combat organizations the decision advantage over our near-peer adversaries.
As Software Engineer, you will work in collaboration to enhance the analysis system leveraging proprietary capabilities. You will collaborate on the integration of capabilities from different systems, design, development, testing and integration.
Qualifications
Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
- Must possess an active TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance.
- Seven (7) years of experience in software development (analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance).
- Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent experience in a related field in lieu of a degree.
- Understand the Software development life cycle.
- Demonstrated experience developing with modern languages such as: Python (highly preferred!), Ruby, Clojure, Java, JavaScript, etc.
- Experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to problems.
- Demonstrated experience using rapid prototyping and Agile based software development methodologies.
- Onsite work at a designated facility.
Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies
- Experience with Computer Vision (CV)
- Understanding of machine learning concepts
- Experience integrating multiple applications
- Experience developing and implementing software enhancements to mission systems in other Government agencies
- Experience building scalable solutions to mission problems
- Experience with development in microservice based architectures
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Redis, Kafka, SciPy, NumPy, Pandas
- AWS API experience
- AWS Certification (Developer, DevOps and/or, Architect, etc.)
- CompTIA Security + certification
Security Clearance Level
- TS/SCI with an adjudicated CI polygraph or ability to obtain a CI polygraph

Pay Rate
- The projected compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Criterion Systems considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
