We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of our products with industry standards and regulations. If you are looking to grow your career, we are the employer for you.

Responsibilities

  • Support quality planning for new and existing products and identify, reduce and mitigate risks. Completion of APQP process
  • Complete PPAP submissions for customer approval. Perform all needed activities to ensure requirements (e.g. MSA, capability, etc) are met prior to required submission date.
  • Conduct RFMEA, FPA
  • Support problem solving and complaint resolution using 8D, or other formats.
  • Conduct 5 WHY Analysis, Ishikawa, Value Stream mapping and Kaizen exercises for customer 8Ds
  • Create and control organizational documentation such as Control Plans, work instructions, DCP, Inspection instructions, etc. As required.
  • Support Supply Chain with supplier quality initiatives and PPAP reviews.
  • Develop positive relationships with customer and supplier counterparts.
  • Gain expert understanding of individual customer requirements.
  • Support during the conduction of layered process, internal and supplier audits of quality, manufacturing and environmental management systems as necessary.
  • Prepare reports describing studies, testing and other quality related duties as may be required.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest technology regarding quality assurance techniques and methodology through reading, attendance at conferences and seminars, etc.
  • Ability to perform dimensional inspections, understanding of basic metrology and calibration.
  • Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be required.
  • Report scrap findings and conduct problem-solving analysis.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and concepts
  • Thorough knowledge of plastic injection molding (preferred)
  • Analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving
  • 5+ years of experience
