Azure Infrastructure Engineer (NOT REMOTE)

We are seeking an experienced Azure infrastructure engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, building and maintaining our Azure infrastructure to help plan and deploy new and existing applications. Along with designing and deploying the infrastructure, you will maintain and monitor the new system as well as configuring connectivity with various other systems and data sources in the cloud environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical experience with communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the other members of the internal as well as external teams. The role will also engage in moderate application configuration work, ensuring success of software deployment and development within said software.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement highly available and performance driven infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
  • Monitor and maintain the health of the Azure environment
  • Manage and optimize Azure resources to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure.
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Azure infrastructure and processes.
  • Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Implement and manage Azure networking components.
  • Ensure cost optimization of Azure resources.
  • Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging approved tools to ensure automated platform deployments
  • Design and develop connection strategies and tools for integration between applications in a cloud environment.
  • Focus on DevOps processes, maximizing repeatability and sustainability across deployments / solutions.


Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management
  • Experience with databases like SQL Server or SQL Azure
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
  • Must be a Self Starter - Initiative to seek clarity and understanding (not wait for direction).
  • Must have Excellent communication & collaboration skills
