Position Overview:

• An experienced Linux Engineer to join the team.
• This role will involve the design, implementation, and management of complex Linux systems, as well as ensuring their scalability and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Administer Red Hat Satellite Server for managing Linux environments, updates, and patching.
• Support storage migration activities using Logical Volume Manager (LVM), ASM, and Multipath technologies.
• Implement and automate infrastructure tasks using Ansible.
• Write and maintain scripts (Perl, Bash, Python) to automate repetitive tasks and streamline system operations.
• Perform performance monitoring using Nagios, identifying and resolving bottlenecks in system operations.
• Manage virtualized environments with VMware, ensuring proper system availability and resource utilization.
• Work with Docker containers, Kubernetes, Rancher, and OpenShift for containerization and orchestration.
• Collaborate with network and cloud engineers to design and maintain public cloud solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Participate in data center migration projects and provide support during the transition.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Linux systems, networking, and virtualization.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• 3+ years of experience with Red Hat Satellite Server.
• 5+ years of experience with networking and understanding of networking protocols.
• 3+ years of experience with storage migration (LVM, ASM, Multipath).
• 2+ years of experience with Ubuntu Linux and IBM/AIX.
• 3+ years of experience in automation with Ansible.
• 5+ years of scripting experience (Perl, Bash, Python, etc.).
• 2+ years of experience with performance monitoring tools such as Nagios.
• 3+ years of experience in VMware administration.
• 2+ years of experience working in public cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• 2+ years of experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes, Rancher, and OpenShift.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Skills:

• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Red Hat Enterprise Linux and be well-versed in various technologies including automation, scripting, performance monitoring, and cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with data center migration projects is a plus.
