Within Softlines Discovery, the Marca team's mission is to develop machine learning solutions for brands on Amazon. We build ML models and large-scale infrastructure to host our models and support a range of brand-related decision-making at Amazon. We are looking for a passionate and innovative Software Development Engineer who loves solving hard problems and is excited about working on an ML-centric team. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define our core system architecture and spearheading the best practices that enable a quality product.

Job Responsibilities:
- Significantly influencing our overall strategy by driving the system architecture and spearheading the best practices that enable a quality product.
- Working on the core engineering infrastructure to support a large-scale machine learning model integrated into various complex downstream production systems.
- Using cutting-edge technologies, including machine learning, to process various data sources to improve our machine learning models.
- Collaborating with a group of top-notch software developers, applied scientists, and seasoned product managers.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
