Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our team. Our Data Engineers play a crucial role in building highly reliable and scalable data pipelines to support our automation systems. This role is responsible for transforming raw data into useful data systems, developing algorithms, conducting statistical analysis, and building robust data pipelines. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our Product and Engineering teams, as well as collaborate with clients to drive data-driven insights and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of data engineering principles.

Responsibilities

1. Build and maintain efficient data systems and pipelines that support our automation systems.
2. Collaborate with the Product and Customer Success teams, as well as clients, to understand business needs and objectives.
3. Analyze data trends and patterns to identify valuable insights and opportunities for improvement.
4. Conduct complex data analysis, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
5. Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling, working closely with data scientists and analysts.
6. Design and develop algorithms and prototypes to enhance data processing and analysis capabilities.
7. Integrate and combine raw data from various sources to create comprehensive and reliable datasets.
8. Identify and implement strategies to improve data quality, integrity, and reliability.
9. Proactively explore opportunities for data acquisition to enrich our datasets.
10. Develop and maintain analytical tools and programs to support data analysis and reporting.
11. Collaborate effectively with data scientists and architects on multiple projects.

Qualifications

1. 1-3 years experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent work experience is preferred.
3. Strong proficiency in data engineering technologies and tools (e.g., SQL, Python, ETL frameworks).
4. Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS (e.g., Quicksight, Databricks), and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
5. Solid understanding of data analysis, data modeling, and database design principles.
6. Experience in building and optimizing data pipelines and workflows.
7. Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
8. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
9. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
10. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
11. Knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms is desirable.
12. Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic and evolving data environment.
13. Experience working at health system or healthcare technology company preferred.
14. Experience working at a software as a service (SaaS) company preferred.
