This contract has an initial duration of six months with a likely extension
Key skills: Java, heavy Capital Markets (pref Derivatives or Equities) - need people who have directly developed trading platforms. Murex would be a plus
Location is New York City (hybrid: 2-3 days in NYC)
Any visa status is fine
Senior candidates needed
Local candidates needed (likely video interview for now, but subject to change)
This is for a foreign securities trading firm
Skills required:

• 5 + years Java 8+
• Equity trading and Stockloan platforms
• Spring framework / Spring boot
• WebServices / REST API / Micro Services
• Messaging, multi-threaded processes, understanding of design patterns
• basic understanding of application security (ssl, certificates)
• Comfortable working in a fast paced, iterative/agile environment
• Able to work independently
• git
• Solid coder
• junit, mockito
• Financial background

Good to have:

• Web 2 UI development (angular 8+, html, css, javascript, typescript, websocket)
• C# with WinForms development
